To encourage the cultural activities and different skills among students St. Montfort’s Senior Secondary School, Kolkata organized an inter school literary & cultural competition Advaya’ 23 on 6 October.
Schools from West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand participated in this event.
Song, dance, recitation, story telling, drawing, poster making, creative writing were some of the categories of this event.
Almost 200 contestants from different states participated in this cultural meet.
Schools which participated in the event were Loyola High School, Birsa Munda High School, Jyotirmoy Public School, Rhode Island Public School, St. Mary’s School, Swarnim International School, K.E. Carmel, Sarisa, Holy Cross School, Baruipur High School & St. Montfort’s Senior Secondary School.
Schools affiliated by CBSE, ICSE & West Bengal boards participated in this cultural meet.
There were eminent artists in the judges panel. Main events started after the Opening ceremony.
Zee Bangla Sa re ga ma pa’s one of the top listed contestants, Sayan Bargi was the Chief Guest of this event.
Sayan has participated in Zee tv sa re ga ma pa. He encouraged the participants with his speech & inaugurated the event with his melodious performance.
Competitions were arranged in different venues.
This event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony and some wonderful performances by the students of Montfort Kolkata.
Students from various schools got prizes in different categories. Champion Schools of Advaya’23 were St. Montfort Senior Secondary School (winner), K.E Carmel, Sarisa ( 1st runner up). Holy Cross School, Baruipur( 2nd runner up).
