Suggestions and ideas from several academicians, universities and research institutions for adopting a sustainable lifestyle are invited by the National Institution of Transforming India (NITI Aayog). It is a part of Mission LiFE announced by PM Modi at the UN Climate Change Conference in the year 2021.
The aim of Mission LiFE is to bring forth the individual behaviours as a narrative for global climate action.
For proposals aimed at individuals, households, and communities to promote environmentally responsible behaviours in a variety of sectors, such as water, food, power, and so forth, the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change is inviting interested applicants from all over the world.
The authors of the approved concepts will be given the opportunity to present their work at a global conference in India.
Papers may be submitted by individuals or teams of three or fewer participants from public, academic, and private institutions. These concepts must propose original remedies and encourage widespread adoption of practicable activities that can be taken to reduce climate change.

A deadline of 31 December 2022, is set for the application period, which began on 5 June 2022. The best five submissions will get a cash prize of $25,000 to test and pilot their ideas, the chance to present them in person at the Global LiFE conference in India, and help from the NITI Aayog to scale up their concepts.
A thorough concept note must be submitted within 30 days for Round II by authors whose ideas made the Round I shortlist. Submissions are accepted regardless of the racial, ethnic, religious, and cultural heritage, gender, sexual orientation, or impairments of the authors. The originality, analytical rigour, and implementability of the concepts will be assessed.
