DPS Ranchi Shines in CBSE East Zone Chess, Athletics, and Judo Championships 2023!

Students from DPS, Ranchi showcased exceptional athleticism such as strength, fitness, and agility, as they made their mark in the CBSE East Zone Chess Championship 2023, CBSE Cluster III Athletics Meet 2023, and CBSE East Zone Judo Championship 2023.

At the CBSE East Zone Chess Championship 2023, held at Dr. D Y Patil School, Patna, the Under-14 Girls Team (Anima Thakur, Aadya Ranjan, Kyna Malhotra, and Ananya Jhawar) emerged as champions, while the Under-19 Girls Team (Aditi Thakur, Vanya Maini, Aditi Raj, and Sweta Bisoi) secured the first runners-up position. Anima Thakur, Aadya Ranjan, Kyna Malhotra, and Aditi Raj also clinched ‘Board Prizes’ by defeating every opponent in their respective groups. Both the Under-14 and Under-19 Girls teams have also qualified for the National Level competition scheduled to be held in Noida in November.

In the CBSE Cluster III Athletics Meet 2023 at Vikas Vidyalaya, Ranchi, Omkar Shreshtha secured a Silver Medal in High Jump (Boys Under-17 Category) and a Bronze Medal in Long Jump (Boys Under-17 category). Arshdip Singh bagged a Silver Medal in Long Jump Boys (Under-19 Category). The quartet of Arshdip Singh, Manas Singh Rajput, Shreyash Vinay Maharaj, and Sunil Xess secured a Bronze medal in the 4X400 metre Relay race. Additionally, Omkar Shreshtha and Arshdip Singh have earned their spots in the National Level competition, scheduled to be held in Chattisgarh in November.

At the CBSE East Zone Judo Championship 2023, held at Knowledge Gram International School, Patna, Farhan Ahmad secured a Bronze Medal in Under-17 Boys (Below 81 Kg Weight Category).
