Council president Chiranjeeb Bhattacharya said they had received appeals from candidates for faster publication of scrutiny and review of results as the revised marks could play a crucial role in the undergraduate admissions that start immediately after the publication of the plus-II results

The state higher secondary council on Friday announced Tatkal post-publication scrutiny (PPS) and Tatkal post-publication review (PPR) of HS answer scripts.

The council has promised revised results within a week of filing applications under the Tatkal facility. In the normal process, it takes around a month to publish the results.

Council president Chiranjeeb Bhattacharya said they had received appeals from candidates for faster publication of scrutiny and review of results as the revised marks could play a crucial role in the undergraduate admissions that start immediately after the publication of the plus-II results.

“In the normal PPR and PPS, the application portal remains open for a fortnight. Then it takes a month to publish the results. In the Tatkal service, there will be a four-day window for application. The results will be published within a week,” said the council president.

“It will be a big help during the admission season,” he added.

Marks of hundreds of students increased last year after the review and scrutiny.

For Tatkal PPR, the council will charge ₹800 per subject. For Tatkal PPS, it is ₹600 per subject, says a notification uploaded on the HS council website. The normal review rate is ₹200 and scrutiny is ₹150 per subject.

A candidate may apply for the Tatkal service from 2pm on May 10 to midnight of May 13, and pay the fee.

Normal PPS/PPR applications will be received from May 10 to May 25.
