The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education has issued several guidelines for students appearing in the examination

The West Bengal Higher Secondary Examination 2024 has commenced from Friday, February 16 and will continue till February 29, 2024. The exam is being at 2,341 centres across the state.

The exams have been scheduled from 9.45 am to 1 pm. However, the exams for the vocational courses will be held for a duration of two hours. The exam for these courses have been scheduled from 9.45 am to 11.45 am.

Nearly 7 lakh 90 thousand students are appearing for the Higher Secondary Examinations this year. 56.62 percent of the students appearing in the exam are girls. On the other hand, the percentage of male students appearing in the exam is 43.48 percent.

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education has issued several guidelines for students appearing in the examination.

Students have been barred from entering the examination centre with mobile phones. If any student is caught entering the exam centre with a mobile, his/her exam of the day will be cancelled.

In order to prevent question paper leak, the council will be using serial number in every question paper through unique QR codes.

The West Bengal Transport Department will be running special buses on the day of exams to facilitate the students. The special bus services will be running in 14 routes in Kolkata and the surrounding areas. These bus services will begin from 7.45 am and will continue till 1.30 Pm from various bus stands.
