The UPSC CSE 2023 notification has recently been out for 1,105 vacancies. Applicants willing to apply for the vacant positions can do so by directly visiting the official website: upsconline.nic.in. The Commission will be holding the UPSC CSE 2023 exam on 28 May.

The Commission has also released the Civil Service eligibility criteria in its official notification. The candidates willing to apply hereby must note that there are four components of the UPSC CSE eligibility as outlined below:

  1. Nationality: For the appointment in the All-India Service and Indian Foreign Service, an applicant applying must be an Indian citizen. For any other service, the applicant can also be from the below stated countries having the mentioned requirements.

UPSC CSE Prelims 2023 Exam Pattern

The Civil Service prelims exam shortlists most of the applicants and limit the number of applicants to appear for the main exam. The prelims exams has a ​​General Studies Paper 1 having 100 questions of 200 marks and a General Studies Paper-II (Aptitude Test) having 80 questions for 200 marks. It must further be noted that there will be negative marking in the prelims exam and for every incorrect answer, the Commission will be deducting 0.66 marks from the assigned marks of the correct answer given by the applicant. However, for every correct answer applicants will be given 2 marks for each question.
