Aspiring candidates can now apply for the three-year LLB, two-year MA Public Policy and PhD programmes until February 28, 2024, by visiting the official website, admissions.nls.ac.in.

Scheduled for March 17, the NLSAT-LLB, NLSAT-MPP and NLSAT-PhD exams will take place from 10AM to 12.30PM. Successful candidates can anticipate the commencement of the three-year LLB academic session tentatively on July 1, 2024.

Application Fees

To complete the registration process, candidates for the LLB and MPP programmes are required to pay an application fee of ₹2,500, while those from SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwD, EWS backgrounds will incur a fee of ₹2,000. Aspiring PhD students in law and interdisciplinary studies will need to submit ₹3,000 as the registration fee.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria include a graduation degree in any stream, with final year candidates also eligible to apply. The minimum pass marks required are 45% for general category candidates and 40% for SC/ST/OBC applicants, with no age limit imposed.

Exam Structure

The NLSAT 2024 exam will comprise two parts – objective Part A and descriptive Part B. Part A will feature multiple-choice questions (MCQs) on reading comprehension, current affairs, and critical reasoning, each section carrying 75 marks.

The exam duration is set at 150 minutes, with a marking scheme of 0.25 negative marks for each incorrect or unanswered question in the objective section.
