NEET PG 2024: A Quick Check of Exam Schedule, Documents and Key Guidelines Before Exam

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 on Sunday, August 11, 2024. Registered candidates must report to their designated test venue according to the time indicated on their admit cards.

• Test Centre Opens: 7AM
• Entry Closes: 8.30AM
• Candidate Login: 8.45AM
• Instructions Reading: 8.50AM
• Exam Start: 9AM
• Exam End: 12.30PM

List of Documents Required for NEET PG 2024 Identity Verification

• Admit Card (download and affix a recent passport sized photograph on it)
• Printed copy of the Barcoded/ QR Coded Admit Card
• Photocopy of Permanent/ Provisional SMC/ MCI/ NMC registration (to be retained by the test centre)
• One Government-issued photo ID (PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar Card with Photograph)

Prohibited Items

Stationery, electronic devices, ornaments, wallets, and food/drink items.

Exam Format

The exam will be a computer based test with 200 multiple choice questions, each with four options. The total time allowed is 3 hours 30 minutes. 

A 25% penalty applies for incorrect answers, but no marks are deducted for unattempted questions. Candidates may review marked questions before the end of the exam.

The NEET PG 2024 will be held across the country for 2,28,542 candidates. The examination will take place in two shifts. On August 9, the Supreme Court declined to postpone the exam, emphasising that the decision would affect the careers of two lakh candidates for a petition filed by five individuals.
