This decision has been made to accommodate candidates who wish to give up their seats for various personal reasons. The resignation option is available until 5 PM on October 1, 2024. Candidates wishing to resign their seats in NEET UG 2024 must ensure that all formalities are completed by this deadline.

Resignation Process
Candidates opting for resignation must physically report to their allotted college to complete the process. Additionally, it is crucial to ensure that the Resignation Letter is generated online through the official MCC portal by the college. Failure to do so will result in the resignation being considered null and void.
The MCC has emphasised that the resignation process must be completed on time, and candidates should be fully aware of the forfeiture of their security deposit in cases involving Round 2 resignations.
