The Indian Army is inviting candidates to apply from to apply for Short Service Commission course. The registration process started on 11 January 2023 and will be closing on 9 February 2023. 

This recruitment drive aims to fill up 93 posts in the organisation. Eligible unmarried Male and unmarried Female Engineering Graduates and also widows of Indian Armed Forces Defence Personnel who died in harness will be eligible to apply for can apply for the course through the official site of the Indian Army at joinindianarmy.nic.in.

Eligibility Criteria

SSC: Candidates who have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of the Engineering Degree course are eligible to apply.

SSCW: Graduation in any discipline for Non-Technical and B.E/B.Tech in any engineering stream for Technical.


Candidates must note, the age limit for SSC Tech is 20 to 27 years of age and for Widows is a maximum of 35 years of age as on 1 October 2023. Additionally, the selection process will include shortlisting of candidates, SSB interview and Stage 2. Candidates who will clear Stage 2 will have to appear for a medical examination.
