Githa Heggde has been appointed as the new Dean of MICA in Ahmedabad, formerly known as the Mudra Institute of Communications. From 17 October 2022 onwards she will take on the duties of the Dean.

The Governing Council (GC) of MICA formed a Search and Selection Committee, and Githa Heggde, who has more than 30 years of academic, consulting, and industry experience, was chosen for the dean's position.

As a member of the Board of Management and Academic Council of UPES University during her final position as Dean, of the School of Business at UPES, she helped to accelerate the institution's expansion. Githa also served as the temporary dean for the schools of law and modern media and was in charge of the Innovation Centre's MDP programs. She was also a member of the government of Uttarakhand's task team for start-up ventures.

Preeti Shroff's resignation as MICA's Dean was followed by the appointment of Heggde. Shroff is still working with MICA as the president and director's senior advisor.
