The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced a streamlined approach for students with special needs (CWSN) during the upcoming CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2024. The board has officially launched the 'Pariksha Sangam' portal, accessible at parikshasangam.cbse.gov.in, allowing CWSN students to easily avail facilities and exemptions.

In response to the persistent requests from CWSN students, CBSE has extended the window for schools to update the status of their CWSN students on the portal. CBSE schools are encouraged to upload necessary documents and details between January 19 and January 24. Any exemption requests sent earlier must also be uploaded during this period, as the board will not entertain any requests beyond the deadline, and offline submissions are not accepted.

This initiative builds upon the success of the CBSE Board's portal introduced last year, demonstrating a commitment to inclusivity in education. The web portal enables schools to log in using their credentials, access a list of CWSN students, and view the permissible facilities for each disability category.

To facilitate a seamless process, schools can select the desired facilities on behalf of their students through the portal. The chosen facilities will then be incorporated into the students' admit cards. Additionally, the CBSE Board will issue instructions to centre superintendents to ensure necessary arrangements are made for CWSN students during the examinations.

This move by CBSE reflects a proactive approach to address the unique needs of CWSN students, making the examination process more accessible and inclusive.
