DPSRU signs MoU with National Centre of Disease Control, Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission

Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC). 

The MoU aims to fill the gap between education and industry and to provide the students better research facilities through collaborations with organisations of repute. The MOU affirms the partnership between the organisations to collaborate in academics and scientific research activities in the areas of Public Health, Hospital Management, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Management.

DPSRU will collaborate both with NCDC and IPC to identify ways to implement the objectives of this memorandum of understanding by working together wherever applicable in their respective ongoing programmes and research projects.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Ramesh K Goyal, vice-chancellor - DPSRU, Sujeet Kumar Singh, director, NCDC, Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi, secretary and scientific director, IPC and O P Shukla, registrar DPSRU. 

The officials from NCDC included Arti Bahl, additional director and head, Epidemiology division, Sudhir K Jain, advisor, Meera Dhuria, joint director and Suneet Kaur, deputy director while the scientific team from IPC included Menakshi Dahiya, principal scientific officer and Kalai Vani, senior scientific officer. 

Goyal said that this collaboration is the beginning of a long-term partnership for the welfare of students and society.

 

The ceremony was attended by P K Sahoo, dean research and director - DIPSAR, Geeta Aggarwal, dean - academics, DPSRU, Jaseela Majeed, head, School of Allied Health Sciences and Management (SAHSM), Saurabh Dahiya, associate professor, and nodal officer for collaboration with IPC, Puneeta Ajmera, associate professor and J Swaminathan, assistant professor of the Department of Public Health of SAHSM.
