CLAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Undergraduate (UG) Eligibility:
- General, OBC, PWD, NRI, PIO, and OCI category candidates must have a minimum of 45% in their 10+2 or equivalent examination.
- SC/ ST candidates require a minimum of 40%.
- Students currently appearing for their qualifying exams in March/ April 2025 are also eligible to apply but must provide proof of passing the examination at the time of admission.
Postgraduate (PG) Eligibility:
- Applicants for the PG course must hold an LL.B. or equivalent degree with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates).
- Candidates appearing for their final exams in April/May 2025 may also apply, provided they submit their passing certificate at the time of admission.
Documents Required for CLAT 2025 Application
- A valid email ID and phone number
- Class 10 and 12 mark sheets
- Identification proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, etc.)
- Domicile and category certificates (if applicable)
- The photo and signature must meet specific size and format requirements, as listed on the official website.
CLAT 2025 Exam Pattern
For those appearing for CLAT UG 2025, the exam will cover five sections:
- English Language
- Current Affairs (including General Knowledge)
- Legal Reasoning
- Logical Reasoning
- Quantitative Techniques
The test will consist of 120 multiple choice questions, with a duration of two hours. A penalty of 0.25 marks will be applied for each incorrect answer.
CLAT 2025 serves as the gateway to India's top law schools. These programmes are offered by 24 National Law Universities across India, including premier institutions like the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, and National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), Hyderabad.
