Aligarh Muslim University vice-chancellor distributes NIRF 2021 certificates

The consultative meeting for the NIRF 2022 Other Rankings Data submission took place under the chairmanship of AMU’s vice-chancellor
The 13th rank certificate in Architecture was given to Pervez Mustajab, dean, faculty of Engineering and Technology; Sufyan Beg, principal, ZHCET; Sharmin Khan and Faraz Farooq, nodal officers, department of Architecture

In a consultative meeting regarding the data submission for the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2022 and other rankings, Tariq Mansoor, the vice-chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), handed out NIRF 2021 certificates to the registrar, deans of various faculties, department chairpersons and nodal officers. 

AMU ranked 10th in the country in the NIRF University Ranking 2021 released by the minister of education, Dharmendra Pradhan at a virtual event in September 2021.

The department of Architecture was ranked 13th best in India, J N Medical College (JNMC) secured 15th rank, Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College (ZADC) was placed 26th, Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology (ZHCET) won the 35th position and the faculty of Management obtained 49th rank. 

 

“All deans of faculties, dean - students’ welfare, registrar, finance officer, controller of examinations, director of academic programmes committee UGC HRDC, principals of colleges and polytechnics and chairpersons of the departments of Architecture, Law and Business Administration attended the meeting,” said Mohammed Naved Khan, Convener, Ranking Committee of AMU and Coordinator, NIRF Rankings.

 

M Salim Beg, chairman, Ranking Committee, praised the fact that AMU has been featured in the ‘Band-Excellent’ among the top-notch Centrally-Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs), Central Universities and Institutes of National Importance in the recently released Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) 2021 of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell.

 

“AMU’s true mettle and contribution to research and innovation has received due recognition with ARIIA ‘Band-Excellent’ rank. As one of the top Indian public institutions, AMU has been providing a culture of innovation to students and prepared the faculty members as innovators, out-of-the-box thinkers and problem solvers,” said the vice-chancellor.
