Terms and Conditions

  1. The terms and conditions contained herein (hereinafter referred to as "Terms") apply to the 18 under 18 Awards (“Event”) to be conducted ABP Private Limited (“ABP”) reserves the right to change these Terms at any time.
  2. The 18 under 18 Awards aim to spot emerging talent in different fields and inspire students to keep following their dreams. 
  3. The nomination/s for the 18 under 18 Awards can be made only by the Principal, Headmistress/Headmaster or Director of a school or academic institution located in the following States of Eastern India – West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh.
  4. The school or academic institution must duly inform and take consent from the student/s and his/her parents/guardians and both parties must be in mutual agreement of submitting the nomination/s for the Awards. The school or academic institution and the students will hereinafter be referred to as “Participants”.
  5. The school or the academic institution must ensure the required coordination and availability of the nominated student, for personal interviews (online/telephonic), if required during the shortlisting process.
  6. By participating in the Awards, the Participants agree to abide by and be bound by these Terms and any amendment(s) thereto. 
  7. The awards may be changed/modified / split / merged/increased or cancelled at the sole discretion of ABP without any prior notification.
  8.  Only fully complete Nomination entries would be considered for the awards.
  9. The Award structure may be changed or modified by ABP, based on the number of entries received, and the quality of the entries. The decision in this regard will be final, non-contestable and binding on all Participants. ABP will not entertain any queries in this regard. 
  10. ABP will not be responsible for Nomination Entry/entries not received because of a lapse in any communication because of internet failure or any other reasons 
  11.  ABP has the right to ask for documentary proof of information. If the Participants does not comply with the request, the Participants may be disqualified from the awards.
  12. The Participants/s must be in full mutual agreement with respect to the Nomination and must enter the Awards at their own will and ABP is in no way obligated or liable for any loss or costs that the Participants may suffer or incur and nothing is payable to the Participants for participating in the Awards or any event prior to or following the Awards. 
  13. The Participants warrant and represent to ABP, that all information including any communications, software, photos, text, video, graphics, music, sounds, images and other material submitted or recorded in any manner by the Participants for consideration for the Awards, are solely owned by the ABP and do not infringe upon any other individual or organizational rights (including, without limitation, intellectual property rights). The Participants shall be completely responsible for handling claims of infringement or alleged infringement by any third party and shall indemnify ABP from any claims, costs or damages from infringement or alleged infringement of any third party rights including intellectual property rights or the defines of a claim or any costs payable thereof. 
  14. Participants for the purpose of entering the Awards, grant ABP, a royalty-free, irrevocable, worldwide, non-transferable, non-exclusive right and license to use and display such entry, for participation in the Awards, and any intellectual property in relation to and arising out of such participation in the Awards and footage thereof, which shall include publications, press releases, electronic posting to the Website and other digital platforms, in any display format selected by ABP, before, during or after the Awards or use by ABP as it deems fit. The Participants grants ABP irrevocable consent in perpetuity to the use of their and their/his/ her name, photographs, audio-visuals in connection with the Awards, in any and all applications including but not limited to advertising, commercials, promotion, stories, text, articles and commercial exploitation, in any and all media forms, including but not limited to online, internet, radio, broadcast and television, newspapers and magazines at any time without the Participants further knowledge or consent.
  15. All disputes relating to or arising out of the Awards shall be subject to the laws of India and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction at West Bengal, India. 
  16. The Participants indemnify ABP, its employees, officers, contractors, partner or other persons used by them in relation to this Awards and hold them harmless against any loss, claim, demands, costs, damages, judgments, expenses or liability (including legal costs) arising out of or in connection with any or all claims, that may be brought against the ABP by any third party in connection with the Participants participation in or winning the Awards, breach of any of the warranties and representations made by the Participants, or due to breach of these Terms and shall reimburse ABP for any loss, costs, expense, or damage to which said indemnity applies. 
  17. ABP will not be responsible for any defect/damage, product validity/expiry date or the quality of the goods and services rendered as a part of the Gift Hamper/Gifts given to the Award winners.
  18. The decision of ABP on all matters is final and binding on all Participants and no correspondence will be entertained on the same. 
  19. In the event these Terms do not cover any question or complaint in relation to the Awards, the same will be concluded by the ABP or an independent body or legal team as appointed by the ABP as deemed necessary. 
  20. The Participants agree to give full consent unconditionally to ABP to use itself and/or share any information provided by the Participants with agencies/entities working with them with regards to the awards, program, its recording and broadcasting and related activities including agencies/entities involved with ABP.
  21. The Participants acknowledge that ABP shall not be liable for any costs, expenses, charges, fees, taxes, etc. incurred by the Participants(s) in participation, and the Participants(s) shall be absolutely responsible and solely liable for the same. 
  22. The decision of ABP in relation to the interpretation of any of these Terms shall be final and binding on the Participants. 
  23. ABP or its group companies are not liable or responsible for any action or decision was taken by Participants or anyone acting on Participant’s behalf. ABP shall not be under any obligation to Participants and Participants shall have no obligation or rights in relation to the Awards and shall have no claims whatsoever against ABP relating to the selection process or the running of the Awards.
  24. ABP is not responsible for any errors or omissions in the terms and conditions contained herein. ABP hereby states that all information provided relating to the Award is provided 'as is' without warranty of any kind. ABP makes no representations and disclaims all express, implied and statutory warranties of any kind to the Participants and/or any third party including, without limitation, warranties as to accuracy, timeliness, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for any particular purpose.
  25. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, there shall be no liability of ABP to the Participants(s) from any cause whatsoever or otherwise. Under no circumstance, shall ABP and/or its parent, subsidiaries, associates, affiliates and group entities, and their respective directors, employees, officers, agents or representatives, be liable to the Participants /or any third party, for any lost profits or lost opportunities, direct, indirect, special, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages whatsoever, even if ABP has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
  26. The winners shall be selected at the sole discretion of the Jury and the same cannot be challenged under any circumstance. The decision of the Jury shall be final in this matter will be final and binding and no questions, correspondence, enquiries, etc. on the manner of the selection will be entertained.
  27. The Award is neither transferable nor exchangeable.
  28. The Management of ABP reserves the right to cancel/postpone/stop this Event at its discretion or change all or any part of terms and conditions that are applicable, without giving prior intimation of any kind and being liable for any consequential losses/damages.
  29. Nothing herein amounts to a commitment or representation by ABP to conduct further or other such events.
  30. ABP shall contact the school or academic institutions to which the eighteen (18) winners belong, within 15 working days after he/she has been selected as winners. Any information pertaining to the nomination will have to be provided by the participants in the event the same is requested by the representative of ABP.
  31. ABP shall make reasonable efforts to confirm the identity of the selected Participants. However, if the verification of the identity of the Participants is not possible due to any reason(s) including but not limited to, the inability to contact the Applicant, submission of incomplete documents, or any other reason beyond the reasonable control of ABP, ABP shall be entitled to forfeit the entitlement of the winner(s) and select an alternate winner in their place.
  32. It is the responsibility of the Participants to ensure their contact details are current and up to date. 
  33. The Management of ABP & its subsidiaries/group companies reserves the right to cancel/postpone/stop this Contest at its discretion or change all or any part of terms and conditions that are applicable, without giving prior intimation of any kind and being liable for any consequential losses/damages.
  34. The jury at all times remains fully and solely liable and responsible for their actions, expressions and/or views/opinions/comments. ABP will not be responsible for their actions, expressions and/or views/opinions/comments, and any claims, damages, outrage arising due to the comments, views or opinions by the Speaker(s) and/or any audio and/or video uploaded in the Channels.

Rules of Participation

  1. This event will commence on 3rd December 2021 and the last date for receipt of duly filled online nomination shall be February 5, 2022. In an event that there is a change in the last date of acceptance of Nomination, the new date will be updated on the Event website.
  2. Solely the Principal, Headmistress/Headmaster or Director of a school or academic/non-academic institution located in West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh can submit the nomination/s.
  3. The Principal, Headmistress/Headmaster or Director of a school or academic/non-academic institution can submit a total of three (3) nominations only.
  4. The nomination/s can only be submitted online through the nomination form provided on the website specially designed for this Event. No physical/hardcopy submissions will not be accepted. 
  5. Nomination/s once submitted cannot be edited/changed.
  6. In an event that Participants would like to withdraw from the Awards nomination, a request is to be sent in writing citing the detailed reason to the following email address - contact@tt-edugraph.com
  7. Evaluation process
    • All nomination entries will be reviewed by Team Edugraph and hundred (100) entries will be shortlisted out of all the nominations received by the second week of January 2022.
    • A team of educationists and editors will identify fifty (50) students from among those 100 entries by the second week of February 2022.
    • After conducting one-on-one interviews, the jury will select the final eighteen (18) by the third week of February 2022
    • The Eighteen winners will be felicitated at an Awards Ceremony which will be held in Kolkata in the second week of March 2022.
    • The above timelines are subject to change and the decision of ABP with respect to the dates will be final and binding. Any changes will be duly conveyed to the respective schools and academic institutions of the shortlisted students and winners.
