Xavier Institute for Tribal Education (XITE) College in Gamharia, Seraikela, showcased the achievements of Jharkhand, which completed 21 years since it was carved out of erstwhile Bihar.

The presentation was part of weekend activities to mark Statehood Day, which was observed on November 15.

“It was a combination of literary and cultural programmes. Through the video show, we wanted the students to know about the rich cultural heritage of Jharkhand and its progress. We also wanted to showcase the cultural diversity of the state through a cultural programme and pay homage to the leaders who made sacrifices for a separate state of Jharkhand,” said Sushmita Choudhary Sen, assistant professor of commerce and business administration, XITE.
