The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) extended the registration date for National Defence Academy (NDA I) and Combined Defence Services (CDS I) examinations 2023. The last date to apply for UPSC NDA-1 and CDS-1 is now 12 January, 2023.

The official notice in the UPSC website reads, “Last date of filling of the application form (NDA-I & CDS-I, 2023) is extended till 6:00 PM, 12th January 2023 for the inconvenience faced by candidates due to server slow-down.”

Candidates can apply for the examination through the UPSC official website- upsc.gov.in. The decision to extend the registration deadline came after server slow-down. The commission will be conducting the UPSC NDA-1 exam to fill 395 posts. The UPSC CDS-1 exam 2023 is scheduled to be taken on 16 April to fill a total of 341 vacancies.

Steps to fill UPSC NDA 1, CDS-1 2023 application form:

  1. Go to the official website of UPSC- upsc.gov.in
  2. Click on UPSC NDA-1 or CDS-1 application form link
  3. Login the basic details to generate login credentials
  4. Login with email address and OTP or password
  5. Fill out the application form and upload necessary documents
  6. Pay the application fee as required
  7. Choose preferred exam centres
  8. Upload scanned photograph and click ‘Submit’
  9. Download and save the application form for future reference

Earlier, the last date to apply for the exam was till 10 January, 2023. The registration process was started on 21 December, 2023
