UPSC CSE Prelims 2023: Alternate centres available for Imphal centre candidates; know steps here

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released a list of alternate centres to the candidates of Imphal, Manipur Centre of Civil Services (preliminary) exam 2023 due to the ongoing violent clashes in Manipur. The UPSC CSE prelims exam date 2023 is scheduled to take place on 28 May. 

The official notice by UPSC offers seven alternate cities: Aizawl, Kohima, Shillong, Dispur, Jorhat, Kolkata, Delhi. All candidates of Imphal centre can opt for alternate centres for UPSC prelims 2023. Those who have already downloaded their UPSC prelims 2023 admit card are also eligible for this change.

UPSC CSE Prelims 2023: Steps to change centre

  1. Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) facility: Candidates will receive a message regarding this through their registered mobile numbers.
  2. Go to the office of any district administration in Manipur. Contact UPSC through any of the following contact numbers: 23070641, 23381073, 23384508, 23387876. and call between 12 noon and 5 pm from 17 to 19 May 
  3. Visit the official website- upsc.gov.in. Candidates from Imphal centre can opt for alternate centres from 12 noon on 17 May to 5 pm on 19 May

After the exam centre has been successfully changed, the candidate will receive a confirmation message on the registered mobile number.
