UPSC CSE Main Exam 2022: Check out the exam schedule

IAS candidates who pass the Prelims, that is, those who achieve a score in General Studies Paper I above the cutoff and in General Studies Paper II (CSAT) of at least 33%, are qualified to take the UPSC Mains
The UPSC CSE Mains Examination will be conducted on the following dates: 16, 17, 18, 24 & 25 September 2022

The Civil Services Examination has two stages, the second of which is the UPSC Mains exam. IAS candidates who pass the Prelims, that is, those who achieve a score in General Studies Paper I above the cutoff and in General Studies Paper II (CSAT) of at least 33%, are qualified to take the UPSC Mains.

Before moving on to the IAS interview/UPSC Personality Test stage, candidates who wish to become IAS, IPS, IFS, and IRS officers must pass the UPSC Mains exam.

Paper-I Essay; Time: 9.00 A.M. to 12.00 Noon 

17.09.2022 (Saturday) 

Paper-II General Studies-I; Time: 9.00 A.M. to 12.00 Noon  

Paper-III General Studies-II; Time: 2.00 P.M. to 5.00 P.M

18.09.2022 (Sunday) 

Paper-IV General Studies-III; Time: 9.00 A.M. to 12.00 Noon

Paper-V General Studies-IV; Time: 2.00 P.M. to 5.00 P.M  

24.09.2022 (Saturday)

Paper-A Indian Language; Time: 9.00 A.M. to 12.00 Noon

Paper-B English; Time: 2.00 P.M. to 5.00 P.M

25.09.2022 (Sunday) 

Paper-VI Optional Subject-Paper-1; Time: 9.00 A.M. to 12.00 Noon

Paper-VII Optional Subject-Paper-2; Time: 2.00 P.M. to 5.00 P.M
