GPAT 2024 Registration Underway! Check Exam Schedule and Pattern Inside

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) commenced the registration process for the much-anticipated Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT), 2024, on April 19. The registration window will be functional till May 8 (11.55 PM). Candidates interested in submitting applications can do so through the official website - natboard.edu.in.

Important Dates

• Application submission deadline - May 8, 2024
• Application edit window - May 11 to May 14, 2024
• Pre-final edit window - May 21 to May 23, 2024
• Final edit window - May 28 to May 30, 2024
• Issuance of admit cards - June 3, 2024
• GPAT examination - June 8, 2024
• Result declaration - by July 8, 2024

GPAT 2024 - Exam Pattern

• Duration and Mode: The GPAT 2024 will be conducted as a computer-based test (CBT) for three hours (180 minutes). 
• Total Number of Questions: The exam comprises 125 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each question has four answer options, with one correct answer. 
• Marking Scheme: Each correct answer will earn the candidate four marks. However, there is a negative marking scheme in place, with one mark deducted for each incorrect answer. ​​There shall be a 25% negative marking for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.
• Sectional Weightage: The questions will be distributed across various subjects based on their relevance in the pharmacy field.

The exam pattern provides a clear structure for candidates to prepare by understanding the exam's intricacies. 

GPAT 2024 will be conducted for students aspiring to pursue a Master of Pharmacy (M Pharm) degree at institutes/colleges/universities across India for the academic year 2024-2025.
