The University of Sheffield has announced its International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship 2022 that will cover half the tuition fee for eligible undergraduate students starting Autumn 2022.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship till 1pm (UK time) on April 25, 2022. The results will be announced by 4pm (UK time) on May 16, 2022.
The scholarship is available for new international students who meet the eligibility criteria.
Who can apply
• Candidates must have applied for an undergraduate programme scheduled to commence at University of Sheffield in Autumn 2022.
• Candidates must receive an offer for a course studied in full at the University of Sheffield. All undergraduate degree courses are eligible with the exceptions of Medicine (A100/A101) and Dentistry (A200).
• Students must be self-funded and eligible to pay the overseas tuition fee.
• He/she must not be a sponsored student.
• Student must enter a degree programme at the University of Sheffield in programme year 1 or year 2.
Who may be selected
Candidates will be selected through a competitive process and not all applications will be successful. A panel of senior members of staff will select the strongest applications and will be looking for the following:
• Applicant has provided a clear rationale for applying for a course at the University of Sheffield.
• Applicant has clearly articulated future ambitions, these goals relate to the degree they have applied for.
• Applicant has a strong academic profile.
How to apply
One can apply for the scholarship through an online application form. The form is accessed via MUSE (institute's online portal for applicants). Eligible candidates will receive an email inviting them to apply after they have been offered a place on a course at the University of Sheffield.
The International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship 2022 cannot be awarded in conjunction with any of the following scholarships:
• International Baccalaureate Undergraduate Merit Scholarship 2022
• NCUK Undergraduate Merit Scholarship 2022
• GEMS Undergraduate Merit Scholarship 2022
• International School of Choueifat Scholarship 2022
• DPS Undergraduate Merit Scholarship 2022
• NCUK Undergraduate Scholarship (2022 award TBC)
• International Undergraduate Scholarship (2022 award TBC)
