UGC NET June 2024 Exam Begins on August 21: How to Download Admit Card and Exam Guidelines

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conduct the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2024 exam starting tomorrow, August 21, 2024. The exam will run until September 4 across various shifts and subjects. 

Candidates scheduled for exams on August 21, 22, and 23 can now download their admit cards from the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Admit cards for subsequent dates will be issued soon.

Notably, the UGC NET exam scheduled for August 26 has been postponed due to Krishna Janmashtami. It will now take place on August 27. The exam will cover 83 subjects, conducted in two shifts: the first shift from 9AM to noon, and the second from 3PM to 6PM.

How to Download UGC NET 2024 Admit Card

1. Visit the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
2. Click on the link for ‘UGC NET June 2024 Admit Card’.
3. Enter the candidate’s login credentials (Registration Number and Date of Birth). The admit card will appear on the screen.
4. Download and print the admit card for examination day use.

Candidates must mandatorily carry a printed copy of the admit card to the examination centre. No entry will be permitted without it.

Reporting Time 

Candidates need to report at the exam centre two hours before the exam to allow enough time for frisking and registration. The registration desk will close 30 minutes prior to the examination.

Exam Day Guidelines for UGC NET 2024

• Candidates must carry their admit card along with a valid photo ID (PAN card, Driving License, Passport, Aadhaar) to the exam centre.
• A recent passport-sized photograph should also be brought along.
• Candidates must occupy the seat corresponding to their roll number.
• Verify that the question paper matches the subject opted for. In case of a discrepancy, inform the invigilator immediately.
• The use of electronic devices within the exam premises is strictly prohibited.

The UGC NET June 2024 exam is a crucial test for candidates aspiring for Junior Research Fellowship, Assistant Professor positions, and admission to PhD programmes across Indian universities.
