The results for Savitribai Jyotirao Phule Fellowship for Single Girl Child (SJSGC) has been declared by University Grants Commission (UGC). Candidates who have applied for the fellowship can check the provisional list by visiting the official website of UGC at ugc.ac.in. Subsequently, they can also download the award letter.
“The UGC declares the list of provisionally selected candidates. These candidates are eligible to receive fellowship under the scheme subject to the conditions mentioned in the guidelines of the scheme, terms & conditions contained in the Award letter and this notification,” as stated in an official notice issued by UGC.
Additionally, UGC informed candidates and their institutions that the selections have been made on the basis of information given by the candidates while applying for the scheme. Hence, their selection is provisional. “The eligibility of the candidate, for the fellowship, is required to be ensured by University/Institution at the time of processing the claim for fellowship,” the commission added.
“For claiming the fellowship, the candidates are advised to fill in the ‘Joining cum Verification Report', given in the guidelines as Annexure-I and submit it to the officials concerned of their institutions. The ‘Joining cum Verification Report' shall be duly signed/countersigned by the scholar, the Guide, the Head of Department and the Registrar of University/Director of Institute,” UGC added.

UGC further informed candidates that the fellowship amount will be expended directly into the bank account of the awardee and asked the institutions to follow the guidelines issued by the commission apart from verifying the credentials of candidates.
