The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TN TRB) has opened a recruitment drive for a total of 2,222 vacancies for graduate teachers and block resource teacher educators (BRTE). Interested candidates can register for the Tamil Nadu graduate teacher recruitment process from November 1 to 30 on the official website, trb.tn.gov.in.
The TN TRB specified that the Tamil Nadu graduate teacher exam is scheduled for January 7, 2024. Candidates competing for these positions must have cleared the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TN TET) paper 2 and should not exceed 53 years of age. However, applicants from specific categories, including SC, ST, BC Muslims, BC, MBC/DNC, and DW, should be below 58 years.
Eligibility for TN Teacher Recruitment:
Candidates seeking these positions should hold a bachelor's degree, in addition to a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education. As an alternative, aspirants who have attained a BEd degree and secured 45% marks in their graduation are also eligible to apply.
Moreover, individuals who have obtained 50% marks in Class 12 and possess a four-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (BElEd) or a four-year BA/BScEd or BAEd/BScEd can participate in the recruitment process. Candidates with a BEd (Special Education) degree and a bachelor's degree with 50% marks are also welcome to apply.
Applicants are required to hold a degree or its equivalent in subjects relevant to the recruitment and have a good command of the Tamil language.
The TN TRB emphasises that 30% of the total vacancies will be horizontally reserved for women candidates in accordance with the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016. During the online application submission, candidates must upload all relevant documents, and they should ensure that the online application is not submitted without the required certificates.
