The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) announced that the facility to opt for a preferred post for SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination 2022 (SSC CGL) will be opened on 27 April. Candidates who appeared in the SSC CGL tier 2 exam will have to submit their option-cum-preference latest by 1 May through the official website- ssc.nic.in.
The commission had conducted the SSC CGL tier 2 exam from 2 to 7 March. The tier 1 was held from 1 to 13 December 2022. The results for CGL tier 1 were declared on 9 February on the official website.

The official notice of SSC reads, “Candidates who fail to exercise their Option-cum-Preference(s) during the aforesaid period, shall not be given any further opportunity for submission of their Option-cum-Preference(s) and such candidates will not be considered for inclusion in the final merit list/final selection.”
It further adds, “PwBD candidates must ensure that they give preference for only those posts which are identified as suitable for their disabilities. Allocation of posts will be made as per the provisions of the Notice of Examination on the basis of 'merit-cum-preference of posts.”
