The Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) commenced the application process for the 19th edition of the July 2024 session of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), on Thursday, March 7. Interested candidates can submit their application through the official website - ctet.nic.in. The application deadline is April 2, 2024 (before 11.59PM).
How to Apply
Step 1: Visit the official website at ctet.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Apply Online’ option displayed on the homepage.
Step 3: Fill out the application form.
Step 4: Upload the required documents (scanned signature and picture).
Step 5: Make the payment of the examination fee.
Step 6: Print and download the confirmation page for future reference.
Incomplete/incorrect application form will be rejected. So, the candidates are advised to carefully fill out the form with accurate details. However, an edit option facility will be available to the candidates for the correction of data in their application form.
Examination Fee
According to the official CTET 2024 July schedule, the exam will be conducted in twenty languages in 136 cities on July 7, 2024. There will be two papers (paper I and paper II). Paper I will be for candidates who intend to be a teacher for classes 1 to 5, whereas, paper II prepares candidates for teaching classes 6 to 8.
There is no limit on the number of attempts a candidate can make to obtain a CTET certificate. A person who has already qualified for the CTET may take the exam again to improve his or her score.
