The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon be announcing the exam schedule for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) on its official website. Once the schedule is out, candidates can check it on jeemain.nta.nic.in.
The NTA has recently made several changes in the JEE Mains exam pattern. The agency has removed the optional questions from Section B of Paper 1. The section will now consist of 5 questions and all of them will be compulsory. Apart from this, optional questions have also been removed from the Mathematics sections in Paper 2A and 2B.
The examination will be held in two Sessions. While session 1 is expected to be conducted in the last week of January, 2025 the second session is likely to be held in April, 2025.
How to register for JEE Mains once registration begins?
Step 1: Visit the official website of JEE Main at jeemain.nta.nic.in
Step 2: Under the 'Candidate Activity Section', click on the registration link
Step 3: Register yourself by providing all necessary details
Step 4: Login to your account
Step 5: Fill-up the application form
Step 6: Pay application fee
Step 7: Download and take a printout of the application form and save it for future reference
Eligibility
The appear in JEE Main Examination, candidates must have completed their Class 12 board examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects. They also need to secure an aggregate of 50 percent or above in the board examinations. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories will be provided relaxation in age limit as per rules.
