The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has officially announced the date for the Odisha Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2023. The prelims examination is scheduled to take place on October 27, 2024. Candidates who have registered for the Odisha Civil Services Prelims Exam can check the official website at opsc.gov.in.
According to the official notice, “It is for information of all concerned that the Commission has decided to conduct the Odisha Civil Services Preliminary Examination-2023, pursuant to Advt. No. 20 of 2023-24 tentatively on 27.10.2024 (Sunday). The detailed programme of the said examination shall be notified later. 2. The candidates are advised to visit the Commission website at opsc.gov.in for further information.”
The Preliminary Examination will consist of two compulsory General Studies papers, each carrying a minimum of 200 marks. The exam will feature objective type questions, and each paper will have a duration of two hours. Candidates who pass the prelims will be eligible to appear for the main examination.
The number of candidates selected for the main examination will be approximately 12 times the total number of vacancies available for the year. This year, the recruitment process aims to fill 399 vacancies.
OPSC has also published a list of rejected candidates. A total of 123 candidates have been disqualified from the recruitment process for the Odisha Civil Services Examination 2023. The application process for this recruitment drive started on January 18 and concluded on February 16, 2024.
