The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the dates of Joint CSIR UGC NET 2023 examinations and the registrations for the same has already begun. The exams would be conducted on December 26, 27 and 28. The last date to apply for this test is November 30. Interested and eligible candidates can register themselves on the official website at csirnet.nta.ac.in.

“National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the Joint CSIR-UGC NET Examination December 2023 to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for Lectureship (LS) /Assistant Professor in Indian Universities and Colleges in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode,” NTA said in an official notice. 

After the registration process gets over, NTA will be opening the correction window for CSIR UGC NET 2023 on December 2 and candidates would be given a chance to edit their application forms by December 4.

Eligibility Criteria

M.Sc. or equivalent degree/ Integrated BS-MS/ BS-4 years/ BE/ B. Tech/ B. Pharma/ MBBS with at least 55% (without rounding off) marks for General (UR)/General-EWS and 50% (without rounding off) for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST, Third gender and Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates. 

Exam Pattern 

The exam will be held for a duration of three hours and students will have to answer Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The exam will be held for subjects like chemical sciences, earth, atmospheric, ocean and planetary sciences, life sciences, mathematical sciences and physical sciences. 

Application Fee

The application fee for CSIR UGC NET December 2023 is Rs 1100 for General category, Rs 550 for General-EWS/OBC (NCL), Rs 275 for SC/ST and Third Gender candidates, while PwD candidates will not have to pay any application fee.
