WBCS 2024: Important update! No change in WBCS (Exec.) Syllabus in 2024 - Details Inside

The West Bengal Public Service Commission has announced that there will be no changes in the West Bengal Civil Services (Executive) Examination 2024. The WBCS (Exec) Preliminary Examination is scheduled to be held on December 15 and will be conducted based on the old syllabus.

However, the examination will witness a change in Syllabus and exam pattern from 2025.

"The new pattern and syllabi for the said examination as laid down under Notification No. 361-PAR(WBCS)/1D-179/21 dated 15.03.2023 and its subsequent amendments in terms of Notification No. 1060-PAR (WBCS) / 1D179/21 dated 24.07.2024 shall come into effect on and from the West Bengal Civil Service (Executive) etc. Examination, 2025," said the WBPSC notification.

Both the Preliminary and Mains examination will be held as per the old syllabus in 2024. The Commission has also mentioned that the new pattern and syllabi of the examination will be available on the commission's website in due course of time.

At present, the WBCS Preliminary and Mains examinations are being held as per the syllabus laid down via notification on February 27, 2014.
