NMC issues notice for medical colleges to use Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Portal

The Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Program was launched by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in 2016 to provide smooth delivery of necessary dialysis services to every patient.

All government and private medical colleges that provide dialysis services have been asked to make use of the Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Programme (PMNDP) portal, as per the National Medical Commission (NMC) orders. 

“All medical colleges both government and private which are providing dialysis services are directed to use the PMNDP portal to provide smooth delivery of necessary dialysis services to every patient having unique ABHA ID (UHID) and to improve visibility and have uniform IT platform for capturing details of all beneficiaries”, stated NMC in its latest notice.

The Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Portal, pmndp.nhp.gov.in/en, is fully functional and is now ready to use. The medical commission stated,  “If any training is required to operate the PMNDP portal, it will be organized by the National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC), the NMC informed medical colleges. It further said that the medical colleges can contact Dr Ranjan Kumar Choudhary, advisor, healthcare technologies at ranjanchoudhary@nhsrcindia.org for clarification and assistance.

Rolled out on April 7, 2016, the Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Program was launched by the ministry of health and family welfare under the National Health Mission in Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode in Union Budget 2016-17. This was done to make sure that renal-care services are affordable to BPL (Below Poverty Line) citizens. Additionally, the patients who fall under the  Above Poverty Line (APL) category are also provisioned to avail of dialysis services at discounted rates.
