For the academic year 2023–2024, the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has extended the deadline for stream 2 admissions. Candidates can register at the official website, nios.ac.in, by July 31 if they intend to apply for NIOS stream 2.
For the NIOS board, students can transfer credit from NIOS old students for up to four subjects, and for other recognised boards like the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), the UP Board, and all other government recognised and approved boards, they can transfer credit for up to two subjects.
Students must have completed Class 8, 9, or 10 to enrol in secondary school. The minimum age requirement is 14 years old. Senior secondary enrollment requires Class 12 passing for improvement and a minimum age of 15 years. Five years are added to the admission from the year of registration.
