The National Testing Agency (NTA) has initiated the application window for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG 2023) on 6 March. The NTA has further made numerous changes to the examination pattern this year. Besides increasing fees and limiting the number of examination centres, the agency has also altered the tie-breaking rule.

In contrast to the past years when age and NEET UG application number were in the list of the criteria in NEET UG tie-breaking policy, the agency this year has removed them.

It must further be noted that from now onwards In NEET UG 2023 entrance exam, if two or more students who appeared for the exam score the same NEET marks or percentile score, NTA will follow a tie-breaking methodology to determine the inter-se-merit in the order given below:
