Mumbai University has issued a statement postponing 30 exams that were scheduled to be conducted on 30 January 2023. The Mumbai University Semester Exams 2023 have been delayed due to the upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Council (MLC) elections.
The exams have been rescheduled and will now be conducted on 7 February. Mumbai University has rescheduled the exam in various subjects including Master of Law (LLM) Semester III and Master of Commerce (MCom) Part II are among those that have been postponed. Along with the Engineering exams.

Meanwhile, citing transportation and administrative challenges, several teachers have suggested that a school holiday be declared for 30 January on account of MLC polls (teachers' constituency).
