The State Selection Board (SSB) Odisha has announced that the deadline for submitting applications for the teaching positions is February 7. Interested candidates must complete their applications before the clock strikes 11.45PM. A total of 2,064 teaching posts are up for grabs across various subjects including Arts, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu, among others.

General category applicants are required to pay ₹500, while candidates from reserved categories, namely Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons With Disability (PWD) will need to pay ₹200.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be between 21 and 38 years old as of January 1, 2024. Those born before January 2, 1986, and after January 1, 2003, are ineligible to sit for the Odisha TGT recruitment exam 2024.
It's important to note that upper age limit relaxations are applicable for reserved category candidates.
Selection Process
It will be based on a written examination. The question paper will consist of 100 multiple choice questions, each carrying equal weightage, totaling 150 marks. Candidates will have a duration of two hours to complete the examination. Under the marking scheme, correct answers will be rewarded with 1.5 marks, while incorrect responses will incur a deduction of 0.5 marks.
