Apply for UGC NET December 2024 Before Deadline on Dec 10: Easy Steps to Register

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the application process for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2024 session tomorrow, December 10, 2024. Aspirants can submit their applications through the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in, by 11.50PM.

Steps to Apply for UGC NET December 2024

1. Visit the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
2. Click on the ‘UGC NET Application 2024’ link on the homepage.
3. Register by providing the required details and log in with the generated credentials.
4. Fill in personal, academic, and contact details in the application form.
5. Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature as per the specified format.
6. Pay the application fee using available online payment methods.
7. Review the form, submit it, and download a copy for future reference.

UGC NET 2024 Application Fees

• General/ Unreserved: INR 1,150
• General-EWS/ OBC-NCL: INR 600
• SC/ ST/ PwD/ Third Gender: INR 325

Candidates who successfully register will be eligible for correction in their application forms from December 12 to December 13, 2024. Following the correction window, NTA will release details about exam city allocation and issue admit cards.

The UGC NET December 2024 exam will be conducted in computer based test (CBT) mode from January 1 to January 19, 2025, covering 85 subjects. Applicants must also complete the application fee payment by December 11, 2024, to finalise their submissions.

UGC NET is a qualifying exam for awarding the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and determining eligibility for assistant professor roles in Indian universities. It also facilitates admissions to PhD programmes across the country.
