JEE Main 2022 exam is held in two different sessions for a period of 5-6 days with 2 shifts each day

The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the JEE Main 2023 results in the form of percentile scores. It must further be noted that the JEE Main percentile scores are not the actual marks but the normalised marks of applicants. This normalisation is done for removing any possible parity in the difficulty level of the JEE Main 2023 question paper as the exam takes place in different shifts and days.

The raw marks secured by an applicant in JEE Main 2023 are converted to a percentile score for preparing the final result. Applicants must further note that the jee mains marks vs percentile vs rank are utilised for calculating the probable rank of the applicant who appeared in the exam. The final percentile and rank are mentioned in the JEE Main 2023 result.

JEE Main 2022 exam is held in two different sessions for a period of 5-6 days with 2 shifts each day. This directly triggers a possibility that the question paper for a particular day may turn out to be hard or easier than any other day. Hence to overcome these possible parities in the difficulty level, a process of normalisation is done. It must further be noted that the normalised marks are not the actual marks secured by an applicant but a comparative score that is obtained by following a specially developed formula by the NTA. The JEE percentile score weighs an applicant's performance to others who appeared for the examination and is not the same as a percentage score or raw marks obtained.
