A total of 1.6 lakh students along with 50 foreign nationals have registered for the upcoming JEE (Advanced) 2022, that will determine admissions of students to all Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) throughout India. 

The registration procedure for the entrance test ended on Thursday. This exam is a computer-based test which is scheduled to be conducted on 28 August at across 600 centres in 226 cities of India.  “Students who have filled the forms but are yet to complete the payment of examination fee will have time till August 12 to complete the process. Admit cards will be issued from 23 August,” stated an official from the JEE 2022 office.

16,232 seats are available in 23 IITs that is an increase from 13,000 from the year 2019. This increase also includes 1,583 supernumerary seats for female candidates.
