As per the official announcement, this recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 4108 vacancies and is open for the positions of Deck Rating, Engine Rating, Sea Man and Cook. Successful candidates will be entitled to a monthly salary ranging from Rs 3500 to Rs 5500, contingent upon the specific position they secure.
As per the schedule, the Indian Merchant Navy application window will remain open till 30 April 2024. To be eligible, candidates must have valid Class 10 and 12 pass certificates from a recognised board or institution. Apart from this the minimum age to apply is 17.5 years, while the maximum age limit is 27 years as of 30 April 2024. Additionally, SC and ST candidates are eligible for age relaxation as per government rules.
