India Post GDS Recruitment 2023: Applications for 40000 vacancies starts; know eligibility here

The Department of Posts has invited applications for India Post GDS Recruitment 2023. Eligible candidates will be able to apply for over 40,000 posts by 16 February on the official website- indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.

This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 40889 vacancies for the organisation. Applicants who submit India post GDS application form before the deadline will be able to edit it from 17 to 19 February 2023.

India Posts GDS 2023: Eligibility Criteria

• The minimum age to apply for the posts is 18 years and the upper age limit is 40 years.
• Secondary School Examination pass certificate of Class 10 having passed in mathematics and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) from a recognized board. 
• Applicants should have studied the local language. Name of Local language at least up to secondary standard as compulsory or elective subjects. 
• Applicants should have knowledge of computers and cycling. 

As per the official notification, GDS are holders of Civil posts but they are outside the regular Civil Services of the Union of India and governed by GDS (Conduct and Engagement) Rules, 2020.
