IIT Madras: For B.Tech Students, An Interdisciplinary Dual Degree Is Launched

An innovative Interdisciplinary Dual Degree (IDDD) program in "Quantitative Finance" has been introduced by the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras). For BTech dual degree students, the course would be jointly given by the management studies, computer science and engineering, and mathematics departments.

All undergraduate engineering students at IIT Madras are eligible to enrol in the IDDD on quantitative finance course.

As of the sixth semester, current students have the option of pursuing the IDDD in quantitative finance. There will be 25 students enrolled in the course. According to the institute, the first group of students will begin classes in January 2023.

Undergraduate students who choose to take this course will be required to work on a project with industry for six months in the fifth year, applying the skills they have learnt.
