Today, September 5, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras will begin accepting applications for the Joint Admission Test (JAM) 2024. On the official IIT JAM 2024 website, jam.iitm.ac.in, qualified applicants can register for the exam.

The exam application deadline is October 13. For admission to postgraduate programs at the IITs and participating institutions, JAM 2024 will be held on February 11, 2024.

The application process is open to students who have earned an undergraduate degree or who are enrolled in their last year of an undergraduate program. Any student may take the exam, regardless of age. Indian-degreed foreign nationals may also apply.

The application fee is Rs 900 for female applicants as well as Rs 900 for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates. The fee for all other applicants would be Rs. 1,800.

Seven test papers, including Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS), and Physics (PH), will be administered in JAM 2024 as a computer-based test. Aspirants will be admitted to programs such as MSc, MSc (Technology), MSc-MTech Dual Degree, MSc (R), Joint MSc-PhD, MSc- PhD Dual Degree, and Integrated PhD programs based on their JAM 2024 results.
