Indian Institute of Management- Visakhapatnam launched a customised leadership programme for officers from the Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. Addressing the occasion, IIM Vizag Director Prof. M. Chandrasekhar stressed the value of learning and the implementation of the knowledge gained from the training programme to the workplace. He also discussed the need of acquiring management skills and the necessity to continue learning throughout one’s career, as learning increases the growth curve and productivity for every employee.

Professor M V Anuradha, programme director, gave a synopsis of the programme and outlined the importance of mastering all aspects of management. Program co-director Prof Balaji Subramanian also spoke on this occasion. The event is being attended by 20 Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. officers.

Faculty members at IIMV will be holding multiple sessions during the five-day programme which will broadly cover intriguing topics such as strategic planning, leadership perspectives for public sector organisations, corporate finance for leadership roles, effective time and stress management, and the art of persuasive communication.
