How to Register for CAT 2024
- Visit the official website iimcat.ac.in.
- Click on ‘New Candidate Registration’. Enter personal details such as name, date of birth, nationality, phone number, and email.
- Complete CAPTCHA verification and validate your registration through an OTP.
- Use the CAT 2024 ID sent via email to log in.
- Fill out the application form with personal and academic details.
- Upload a passport size photograph and a scanned signature.
- Select preferred IIMs, courses, and test cities.
- Pay the application fee online.
- Save and download a physical copy of the registration form for future reference.
CAT 2024 Registration Fees
The registration fee for CAT 2024 is INR 1,250 for candidates from SC, ST, and PwD categories, while applicants from other categories are required to pay INR 2,500. All fees must be paid online at the time of submission.
Eligibility Criteria for CAT 2024
- Bachelor’s Degree: Candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in their Bachelor's degree (45% for SC, ST, and PwD candidates) from a recognised university.
- Final Year Students: Those appearing for the final year of their Bachelor’s degree can also apply. If selected, they must provide a provisional certificate from their institution confirming they have completed all degree requirements.
- Professional Degrees: Candidates with professional qualifications like CA, CS, ICWA (CMA), or FIAI are also eligible, provided they meet the minimum required marks.
- Additionally, applicants should maintain a valid and unique email ID and mobile number throughout the selection process.
CAT 2024 Exam and Admit Card
The admit card for CAT 2024 will be available for download on November 5, 2024, with the exam scheduled to take place on November 24, 2024. The test will be conducted in approximately 170 cities across India.
CAT 2024 Selection Process
The CAT score is a critical factor for admission to MBA, Executive MBA, PhD, and Fellow Programmes in Management (FPM) at IIMs. The selection process for regular MBA programmes involves three stages:
- Shortlisting: Based on CAT scores
- Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI)
- Final Selection: Candidates are evaluated and offered admission based on overall performance.
