IIEST and MAKAUT change exam timings to avert Madhyamik internet curbs

The Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) have rescheduled the timings of the end-semester examinations after the West Bengal government announced temporary suspension of internet services on the days of Madhyamik 2022 examinations.

All end-semester exams of the first semester at MAKAUT have been rescheduled will now be held from 4.30pm to 6pm slot. The decision was taken keeping in mind the possible non-availability of internet services in some areas of the state during the Madhyamik examinations, said Subhasis Dutta, MAKAUT controller of examinations.

The fourth, sixth and eighth semester undergraduate exams at IIEST will now be held from 5.15pm, 6.30pm and 4pm respectively,” IIEST deputy registrar Nirmalya Bhattacharya said in a notice. The earlier timings were from 11.30am, 2.30pm and 4pm, respectively.
