IGNOU launches new BA course in Gender Studies; check eligibility and steps to apply

The Indian Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) today launched a new BA course on Gender Studies (BAGS) in Open Distance Learning (ODL) mode. Interested candidates can now apply for the programme by visiting the official IGNOU website – ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.

This new programme will be organised by IGNOU’s School of Gender and Development Studies. It will be three years long and will be taught in English. The tuition fee for the programme will be Rs 4000 per year.

IGNOU BA Gender Studies: Steps to apply

1. Go to the official website of IGNOU- ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in
2. Registered users must enter their login details. New users will need to register first
3. Enter the personal information, education qualifications as required
4. Upload all the required documents and images
5. Pay the application fees as stated
6. Submit the application form and save it
7. Take a printout of the application form for future reference

Candidates must note that to be eligible for this Bachelor of Arts (Gender Studies) course, they should have successfully cleared class 12 (or equivalent) from any registered school of any Indian registered board.
