The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has issued admit cards for the Specialist Officer (SO) preliminary examination. Eligible candidates can now download their admit cards directly from the official IBPS website at ibps.in. The preliminary examination, set to fill 884 Scale 1 Officer vacancies, spans multiple specialised roles within the banking sector.
The vacancies break down as follows: Agricultural Field Officer (346 posts), HR/Personnel Officer (25 posts), IT Officer (170 posts), Law Officer (125 posts), Marketing Officer (205 posts), and Rajbhasha Adhikari (13 posts).
Exam Pattern and Details
The prelims exam will follow two distinct patterns based on the position applied for:
1. For Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari Posts:
Total: 150 questions, 125 marks, 120 minutes
2. For IT Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, and Marketing Officer Posts:
Total: 150 questions, 125 marks, 120 minutes
Candidates must achieve a minimum score in each section, along with an overall qualifying mark, to advance to the main examination. The IBPS will determine cut-off marks based on vacancy availability.
While the exam duration is 120 minutes, candidates should allocate around 180 minutes to accommodate additional procedures, such as logging in, reading instructions, and other formalities.
