The government is working to equalise the number of undergraduate and postgraduate medical seats within four years so that all MBBS graduates can pursue PG programmes, according to Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya.

Mandaviya also invited medical professionals from the Indian diaspora to invest in research and open hospital chains in the nation with "assured business" while addressing the 13th annual conference of the Global Association of Physicians of Indian origin (GAPIO) on Saturday in Gandhinagar, the capital of Gujarat.

At the "Heal In India, Heal By India" expo, which will be held in April and May of this year, more than 70 countries will sign MoUs between hospitals, between countries, and between hospitals, he said.

To ensure that all of our doctors have the opportunity to enrol in PG programmes and receive the best healthcare education, he continued, "We have established an aim to make the number of MBBS UG and PG seats equal." According to the minister, the goal of the "Heal in India" campaign is to "welcome the world to India" and provide "cheap and quality healthcare, wellness, and traditional medicine."

The procedure has started, and according to Mandaviya, Gujarat is the ideal place to go for medical travel. "I want to give you guaranteed business if you want to create hospital chains and work in the health sector. You will receive guaranteed business and the chance to help the public if you connect with Ayushman Bharat and have a hospital with 50–100 beds. Under the Ayushman Bharat programme, you can operate it commercially "added he.
