The answer key for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023 is scheduled to be out today, 21 February 2023. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur will be releasing the answer key on its official website. Candidates will be able to check the paper-wise GATE answer key at gate.iitk.ac.in using their login credentials.
Aspirants can use GATE 2023 answer key to evaluate scores obtained in the entrance exam.
The results for the GATE 2023 are scheduled to be released on 16 March 2023. Candidates must note, the students who qualify for the exam will be able to download their GATE scorecards between 21 March and 31 May 2023.
In order to compute the GATE Score, the candidates' actual (raw) marks will be considered after the answers are evaluated. Additionally, in the case of papers (subjects) including more than one session, the raw marks obtained by the candidates in each session will be converted into normalized marks.
GATE 2023: How to calculate normalized marks
Normalization is based on the fundamental assumption that candidates' abilities are distributed equally across all multi-session GATE papers. "Raw marks (for single session papers) or normalized marks (for multi-session papers) will be used for computing the GATE score, based on the qualifying marks," according to a statement listed on the GATE 2023 official brochure said.

The GATE 2023 Score will be calculated using actual marks obtained by the candidates for all papers that have only one session. Meanwhile, for candidates who have appeared for more multi-sessions, their GATE 2023 score will be calculated on the basis of the normalized marks obtained.
